WOHASU & School of Positive Transformation: Mindfulness at Work Workshop, Hotel Colonnade Coral Gables, Autograph Collection, Thursday, 25. March 2021
About this Event
Mindfulness should no longer be considered a “nice-to-have” for executives. It's a “must-have.” (Harvard Business Review, 2015)
The contemporary working environment is frequently challenging, leading to employees struggling with engagement, absenteeism, presenteeism, and mental health issues. On the bright side, research clearly indicates that wellbeing interventions are highly effective in reducing those risks while providing greater resilience for employees. In fact, the World Health Organization indicates that for every US$ 1 put into treatments and interventions for mental health in the workplace, there is a return of US$ 4 in improved health and productivity.
Through years of research and practice, it has been shown that mindfulness leads to employee mental health improvements. A study with Duke University, involving more than 10,000 Aetna employees practicing mindfulness, reported:
- 28% Reduction in overall employee stress levels
- $3000 Annual healthcare savings per employee
- 62 Average minutes per week of added productivity
This workshop invites you become acquainted with the benefits of implementing a Mindfulness at Work program. This revolutionary mindfulness program utilizes contemporary and research-based tools through which mindfulness transforms the experience of employees at work. MAW emphasizes the application of mindfulness in a modern world; our mental health challenges at work should be addressed through mindfulness practice that is practical, accessible, and relevant to our everyday lives. Step by step, we will take you through the idea of combining the reduction of mental health risks while increasing psychological wellbeing. As part of this process, we will practice together with a variety of transformational activities and exercises, taken from our program, which you could then practice on your own or offer to your clients, groups, and workplace.
