Your ArtCentric Voice - A Creative Expression Workshop, Metro Trans Umbrella Group HQ, Sunday, 21. April 2019

Your ArtCentric Voice is a group art therapy workshop where participants can gather in a creative environment to socialize and participate in artistic self-expression and community.
This is a facilitator-led series of group sessions specifically for members of the LGBTQIA community. Due to higher rates of physical and sexual violence, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, stigma, and discrimination, it is important to recognize that LGBTQIA identifying participants may have difficulty processing their feelings and coming out of their comfort zones.
The intent of Your ArtCentric Voice is to provide a thoughtful place where LGBTQIA participants can engage in non-verbal creative self-expression in a safe environment, open to the free exchange of opinions and untouched by prejudiced or judgmental postures and to overcome current environmental and societal challenges. All efforts to ensure a safe work-space will be made.
Workshops meet monthly at the Metro Trans Umbrella Group (MTUG) HQ in St. Louis.  This program is available to adults transgender and gender non-binary identifying individuals only.
ThIs workshop meets Sunday, February 17,  from 1-4 pm.
Participation is free and art supplies are provided.  Space is limited so a ticket/pre-registration is required.
