Meet people in your local area? Improve your confidence? Develop your public speaking skills? Share stories?

You are welcome to join us at Swavesey Speakers for one of our regular meetings.

The aim of the club is to promote a positive and supportive environment in which members can develop their communication skills and have fun doing it.

Whether you have an important speech coming up, would like to improve your skills to ace job interviews or just meet some new people in your area, you are very welcome to attend.

Come and find out more about us: there will be prepared speeches and an impromptu speaking session that guests are welcome to join in with.

We usually have between 8 and 14 club members and guests attending our meetings.The evening will provide you with the opportunity to speak to other club members and discuss how membership of the club can help you.

FAQs

I can’t make this event, will there be others?

The club meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of almost every month (check the club calendar for confirmed dates on the website www.swaveseyspeakers.toastmastersclubs.org).

Every event includes speeches by club members, evaluations and an impromptu speaking session, with guests encouraged to participate (not compulsory of course!).

Guests are welcome to attend their first meeting for free. There is an annual fee to be a member of the club (works out as £10 a month) to cover venue, membership of Toastmasters International and refreshments.

During the evening there will be plenty of opportunity to speak to Toastmasters International members as well as get more information about joining the club if you wish to do so. Please RSVP so we know yo uare coming along!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

You should be 18+ to attend this event so we comply with Toastmasters International rules.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is a large car park at the rear of the venue and the hall is 15 minutes (5 minute cycle) walk from the Guided Busway. Parking is free.

Is there a dress code?

No, wear whatever is comfortable for you!

No – all I need is your name and to know you are attending.
